Recently bought a probot droid. Med armor, %40 resist, repair and medic modules. I found out that I can tame it without a DE, but how do I train the thing?Every command I give it I get the "?" responce. Am I able to train it myself (not a DE by the way)or do I need a DE to do it?

Select a command from the 'Program' menu of the droid. (Follow Me for example)

When you do, you will see a ? rise from the droid.

Now type the command that you want to use for follow me (follow for example)

The droid will now send up a ! letting you know he learned the command.

Same as pets... For droids, anyone can do it...

Each droid should already have default commands when you tame it.

"follow" "group" "attack" "stay" - the main ones you'd most likely need (I use mostly "follow" and "attack"...my current droidfollows me by default when I call it, I'll tell it to attack, and if I want it to break off an attack, I'll tell it to follow me and I'll start running off.)

If you want to name it, then yeah, you'll have to program it. Just make sure you do 4 different commands and use the name first each time "joe follow", "joe group", "joe attack", "joe stay", etc. Then to use those same commands without needing the name from then on, reprogram those commandswithout the name. In other words, if you've named your droid "Joe" and you don't want to say "Joe follow" from now until the end of time, REprogram the follow command back to "follow". Otherwise, your droid will require its name on those 4 commands and the default verbal command on all the others...it can get confusing. You may not remember whether you need to use the name or not. 8)

In general, when you look at the list of commands you can program, the verbal command is already the same as how it's listed in the menu.Notalways, but of coursefeel free to program to whatever command you want.

You don't have to be a DE to program a droid. As long as the droid shows up in your datapad, you can program it yourself.
