Thread: NEW (I promise) question on astromechs

Im not going to ask how to turn R units into astro droids. My question is, I thought that you could put say, a level 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 data storage modual into an R droid, and that a pilot with any of those levels could use the droid, but according to my brother he cant get it to work. Is there something wrong with the droid, is he crazy, or can you only put upto the pilots rateing into the droid (in this case a level 3 data modual). any help would be welcome.

Not sure on this but I suspect that you can only have one level in a droid - the trouble would be that the modules may stack up to make a level 6 (max) astromech.

Yep, all level bbased modules stack, so you'll only get one rating and it will be a level 6 with that setup.

That was the first thing I tried when JtL first came out. Unfortunately it looks like it defaults to the highest Data Module in the droid. Regardless of level of owner.

edit: Hmm maybe it was stacked then .. don't think I was aware of the stacking abilities at the time.
