Today we're going to play a game. It's called "Guess what's wrong with this droid". Look at this picture and see what's...different...about it (besides that it's obviously a pre-pub 7 droid). The first one that guesses correctly wins a cookiee from a wookiee!

Hm, do you mean to much modules/combat modules?
Battery Power still broken?
0% State resistance?

Killer Gonk?
Yes, as the name of the picture denotes. This power droid has combat ability.
I noticed this last night while crafting with it, and realized I could train it with the "attack" command. And lo and behold...it attacks. I kid you not, it is the funniest thing I have seen in this game.

if the gonk could attack, were you able to put a combat module into it? or was this pure inborn fighting spirit?

I can only speculate that it was imbued with this ability when the combat droids were revamped recently, because it was made pre-pub 7, where combat modules did not exist.
The little bugger runs up to targets, and you see a spark when it attacks. I took down a CL 33 Tusken Captain last night with it. I did group with it, so it was CL54 equivalent, but still...

Hmmm... I will see if my 2 pre-7 power droids do this. I have one with the super-cluster in it... ye old timers will know what that is.

Yeah that's pretty much what Duracell is. It just can't display all its features in the datapad.
I think this happened because I stuck in an armor module when I crafted it, and when combat droids got converted, it got affected. Let us know if yours did too!

Theoretically, Gonks would make great combat droids, if on the ugly side.
Think about it, they're walking power generators. In the Star Wars Universe any Droid Engineer worth a damn would be able to mount a ranged weapon or two onto a Gonk.
Now if only that would happen in game.

Apato, I wonder if those attack droids he showed you are pre-pub 7 too. It'd be interesting to check.
It's cool to see that I don't have the only combat droid oddity!
