Honestly, you may want to wait. It's easy to think that the current problems may be fixed next publish or even next month. Yet we have been thinking that for a long long time. We have no reason to suspect differently this time. Right now, there is very little marketable product.

It's all individual choice. Try to view this profession from different angles.
Look at it this way: One might look at the current state of the Droid Engineer profession and decide that its too buggy to get in, not to mention that the market is too small for droids. However, the next person might look at the lack of DE on his/her server and think "Hey, here's an opportunity to break into a crafting profession without having to worry too much about competition! And wow, I can set higher margins to make up for smaller sales!"

It's all about the Droids. If you love droids and aren't just doing it for money, by all means hop in. The water is warm and we're friendly. If it's just for money, well, that's your call. I can't imagine doing something in an online game that I *don't* like just for the in-game money-- it'd be like coming home from the job and logging in to my other job. :-)
Bugs come and go (some say never go), but the bottom line is you get to MAKE droids and see other people use YOUR droids. How cool is THAT???? (Ah, Kenner's Droid Factory days...)
