Thread: Courrier droids or a Courrier profession

Forgive me, as this is my first voyage to the wonderful Droid Engineer boards, I'm currently a Bounty Hunter, and I do require the use of your products and am grateful for all your hard work. That being said, I haven't been following your boards so forgive me if this has been suggested.
I often find myself spending a lot of my time traveling, not to complete my mission, not to enjoy the wonderful scenary, but to deliver a few items, to a player worlds away. I think this severly cuts down on time that I could be using to focus on something productive to my SWG gaming expierence. I am familiar with your profession somewhat, and I think that you guys could use more droids that serve basic needs of everyone.
I propose a Courrier droid, one with limited use(s) that would carry a set amount of items to another player. I would just like to know, how you guys feel about this, and if its been brought up already what was the result of its discussion?

That's a good idea, that would be a nice utility droid (we are all begging for droids that provide some sort of needed function), hell I would use a droid like you're talking all the time. Like, go to my house and get this item and return back to this spot....
but that would give true functionality to droids and SOE can't have that....

I like the courier idea, as well, ANYTHING to make the consumer's need for our wares grow is a good thing.

I think a courrier droid would increase the demand for your products 100 fold, thus boosting economy and making all partys happy. So far I'm glad to see positive responses, I would really enjoy this type of droid myself.

The MSE-6 droid is the standard droid for these functions so long as the item is small (expessially notes and data).

More Droid functuality in general and delivery droids in particular have been on the wishlist since long. Unfortunately, it appears that the Reds prioritize the combat aspect of the game above everything else so don't expect any change regarding useful utility functions too soon...
