Thread: how much dioxis gas is needed?

as the title states...how much should last a long time? it spawned on my server and was going to harvest it, but dont want to spend to mcuh time on it if i dont have to

Um... none should suffice. It's only used to make L5 & L6 Data Modules, which pretty much no one wants. I don't believe I have ever received an order for a data module in the 6 months I've been a Master Droid Engineer.
But if you really want to collect some, 10k ought to last you just about forever.

If you have the lots available, I would go ahead and harvest some. The modules are practically useless now, but that doesn't mean they won't be in the future. Or the dioxis may be needed for some future droid part. There's no harm in having some just in case, it might take it forever to spawn again.

I us data module but i have about 140 schematics atm. Also sell droids withem to pure crafters who make alote of stuff, therefore have alote of schematics.
Reason we dont sell many is majority of people have no idea what modules are available and what they are used for.

One of the nice things about being a DE for a time is that you start to get stockpiles of good materials, and no longer need to always be mining just steel, extrusive and fiber.
What I do with my 5 heavy harvestors that I keep in the field at any point in time is mine whatever droid rares are out there.
When the dioxious gas spawned on Chilastra, I dropped 2 heavy gas extractors on it, and had a friend drop another three.
I hae about 150K units of the stuff, and will not have to worry about it again for a very long time.
Just my approach to the droid rare resources.....

someone looking for a market here? 
Since hitting MDE ive been looking for a few rare droid materials - currently have some mass haresting on tatooine but i think once my bank balance is looking a little more stable (/fingers crossed) ill start up some harvesters on other planets
