Thread: Crafting Module Functionality Rating

Over the last few days I've had a couple customers ask me about the functionality rating on my crafting modules. Granted, I know experimentation on droids and droid components is practically useless (unless you're pumping your points into effectiveness and boosing the droid's hitpoints by 2 or 3 points), but does it make a difference on the crafting modules?

I.E - would a crafting module on an R2 made with high quality materials and experimented on heavily perform better than a crafting module on an R2 made with average materials and thrown straight into a prototype?

Answer unclear. Try again tomorrow.

This issue is up to debate. TH has said it effects it, however it doesn't seem to... yet.

I have seen a number of small sample size tests performed, and each and every one of them has indicated that the rating of a droid crafting station module is irrelevant.

If it is relevant, the effect is so tiny as to be practically unobservable. A friend of mine ran tests using a -10 crafting station module and then with a +12 crafting station module and after 100 builds on each could not discern a statistically significant difference.

Technically a +12 crafting module is supposed to have much less crit fails than a -12 crafting module. To be on the safe side I try to always factory produce these +12 just so if it works as intended already my customer's get the best modules. If experimentingdoesnt make a differenceyet,if I were you Iwould still try to produce as high a rating as I can for if they fix it eventually I dont want a lot of upset customers or be selling them an inferior product. I have nightmares that with a fix they include the module rating and the droid builder's name when you examine the droid...
