I am kinda aprehensive about posting yet another combat droid/profession idea, because it seem like there are so many that it is causeing to the conundrum.

I think that this is a good solution, because it is a simple idea and simple to implemet.

Here it is, when you activate a combat droid from your datapad ("tame") you expend skill points from your pool according to the CL of the droid. When you are done using the droid and store it, you get your points back.

I feel that this is a simple way to allow everyone to use any combat droid and for crafter DEs to be crafter DEs. Also It would allow our combat droids to be higher than CL 10. I hate doing the math for this crap, so I am asking someone to come up with skill point expendature amounts per CL of droid that balances the game.

There would be no DC or DH. If you want Uber Droids, you sacrifice Uberness of your character, and if the point expenditure is done right, then it is a good balance.

The only problem I see with this is that noobs would have alot of points to spend. A solution to this could be a cert system, which I would think acceptable to the devs cause we would already be spending the skill points.

If you guys find something wrong or dont agree with some of it, please modify it and repost it. I would like to see what you come up with, it might be better.

The only probably with this is any newbie could instantly spend 100 skill points to get an uber droid.

Its basically a more advanced idea of what you're thinking. I personally like it the most out of all the ideas.

And that is exactly what the devs hope to avoid. If this was allowed only after a master profesison was achieved, then it is just like the droid mini tree concept that the develpoers said would require too much work to implement...

That one is my favorite also, barfolumue is the man!

No skill tree or nothin like that, just skill points from your pool. Then you get them back when you store the droid.

The noob thing is circumvented by the cert system.
