The way things are currently going DE's will be making food and Chefs will be making droids by the time the combat overhaul makes it in.

I'm actually considering becoming a Chef since they are going to be able to make items with the kind of game impact that I would love to have as a DE. Their items will actually affect skill mods.

If you want my uber cynical opinion, the only reason why SOE is focusing on Chefs is to help eliminate imbalances with their food buffs.Need a well publishedexample?: If you consume three of the correct types of food buffs, you can achieve Master Image Designer in less than 3 hours... tops.

Just another cynical idea.... I don't expect SOE to fix a profession because they lack a place, are in need of content, or out of the goodness of their collective hearts;I believe they are fixing chef becausetheir buffs eliminate certain time sinks. We all know that's a mortal sin in the eyes of a game developer...

Right.... and remember, Chefs are sooooo important to the Star Wars feel of the game.

When Ihear the words"Star Wars", I instantlythink of thatscene whereAunt Beru was stuffing tubers in that high tech blender in Episode 4: A New Hope.

No offense to Chefs... but it's sad that DE's recieve only lip service and ridiculous plans while they get enhancements and revamped from the ground up.

I think we should praise their luck as they are just as fallen as DEs. No reason to bring them down simply because they had better fortune. If wehate them simply because theywere finally able to at last be raised out of this pitthe rest of us are trapped in then there is no reason the rest of the SWG galaxy people should like us when we get raised up. Even beckons them to shout against it.

Besides, I know that all3 chefs on Ahazi are celebrating this fact

Most of the current 'uber'-schematics have been removed for Chefs (the HAM buffs will come waaaaay down, the skillenhancements are mostly for important stuff like 'trapping' or 'wookie roar'). As it stands now the best item Novices can use to grind gives whooping 20xp.

Only time will tell if the revamp is for the better or the worse - there are plenty of Chefs who ask to delay the revamp until it has been revamped

Yep, I had ID as my first Holo Prof and I mastered it with a friend in about 3 hours... and that was taking it easy. I had 0 mind cost, which happened when I had more than 1.5k Focus and I had 500 base focus those days.
