How, you ask?
The answer is simple: Many combat professions are aware of the power of your bomb droids, they are often used in griefing and gank squad tactics, costing an affected player ALOT of HAM, even when buffed.
I don't know the average price for a single/set of these droids, but I get the feeling that charging a couple of hundred k for EACH droid will quickly turn a noob into a millionaire. And if it doesn't, then at least it cuts down on the griefing

I label your post a Jedi /ForceWhine attack on our profession.
Go back to your Jedi forum and stop bitching about the droid bombs.
Go back into hiding where you are supposed to be and never worry about a bomb blowing your ass away again.

I'm sorry butI don't see how these can be used for griefing. Last I checked you couldn't attack anyone you normally couldn't, so all they are is another weapon for BH and smuggler (both of which need it badly). Even with the droids BH's aren't able to do enough to keep the Jedi population in check.

"A couple of hundred K"? They are worth much more than that, sir. You don't get "rich" by charging a "couple of hundred K" for a droid.

If they were sold for over 100k, they wouldnt be worth it, and no one would buy them.
First of all, the minimum bounty for a jedi is 50k.
Second of all if we did that, BH would complain non stop and every BH person you have ever met would ask for a free one.

I do hear great news about the DE profession when JTL hits... i hear if you do not have a droid it is a huge disadvantage in air combat.. and hopfully there will be a droid decay system for droids in air combat, like when artoo got his brains blown out in the "A New Hope" movie... ahh good fun, so this post may not be entirly incorrect... DE's could become one of the most profitable profession but i do not know this information forsure, i just heard if from a friend in beta.

They don't sell for 'a couple hundred k' unfortunately. The going price for Exploding MSEs on Bloodfin is around 12-20k a pop, and 50-175k for the R3's.

Hmm, I seem to have misread the post I replied to. I was thinking it said a "couple of hundred." My bad.

I'm quite rich from selling Mickeybombs (ADV Mouse det droids) and Trashcanman Nukes (ADV R3 det droids) at reasonable prices. Let me reiterate - reasonable.
I sell crates of Mickeybombs for 60k and crates of nukes for 500K (that's 100k per nuke). I have a huge amount of repeat business. If I overpriced them, as the original poster seems to be suggesting, then my income would take a huge nosedive.
I also sell custom det droids - my personal favorite being the Ewok Special, an adv protocol droid with det packs. It is pure comedy, especially when used as directed (take to Endor. Send into group of ewoks. /detonatedroid . Commence laughing.)
