Thread: What's been going on?

Hey everyone...

I haven't been around for quite a long time, cancelled my account quite awhile ago (mainly because City of Heroes came out and I didn't want to pay for 2 games), but before that I've been around pretty much from launch. I was a Droid Engineer, left pretty much right when the talks of the Droid Handler class were going on.

I'm thinking about reactivating my account, and if I do, if my character is still there, well I'll start playing him again, but if not, I'm just wondering if I want to pursue the Droid Engineer class. I'll be checking some of the posts to see what I can see about what's changed, but since there's probably a lot that has changed since I've been gone (one can only hope, anyways), I'm just wondering what changes have been made with the Droid Engineer class. I know that we have the detonation droids now, but I don't know much about them.

So any information that anyone would be willing to provide about the (de)evolotion of the droid engineer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Being a Musician myself, I'm thinking that the playback and effects modules themselves were worth re-activating my account =)

I was thinking about creating a new character and starting from scratch, even on the off chance that my old character was still there. But he was still there, and I went to check him out for nostalgia's sake, and low and behold I have all these options of stuff to craft. So I made myself a R5 droid with a playback module and an electric fog module. I had fun with it =)

I did check out the Droid Engineers 101 post, and it looks like we actually can make stuff that's worth a damn now. Also, maybe it was just because I was fighting durnis, but my DZ70 was also doing some significant damage (from what I remember of HAM numbers and stuff too, from checking the 101 post, it seems that our combat droids can do efficient damage now; not overpowering, but also not useless).

And just as a side note, the graphic at the top of the page with Darth Vader taking his light saber to the Zabrak, that picture looks tight. I like it.
