Thread: All Droid Engineers unite and Go on strike.
What selfish needs? The need to actually make a profit, sell something usefull. The way I see it we only have on customer now that will come back. Or will they?
On the other hand. Why strick. I haven't sold on droid in a week. I haven't even been requested to build a droid for anyone. So, who needs to strike? Where there is not a customer base.
Just for the record you can not consider the 1 or 2 BH that may stop by a customer base. Its rediculous.
The funny thing is the other day my probot didn't follow me. A nice fellow sent me a tell to inform me that I had left myProbot out in the wild, and that it would be a waste to lose all the money I had to spend on the droid. He went on totell me how I was just plain silly to spend the money on a droid that is completly useless. He told me that I could get a creature handler to tame me up a pet that had twice or even three times the HAM and twice to three times the damage that a probot had.
This is the reason there is a problem. Everyone knows that if you want a pet the only viable option is to get a creature. Nothing else is worth the money. I could get a creature for 2k that is three times as powerfull as my probot that gets deathblown, all this and I don't have to spend one point increature handler.
I didn't have anything good to say back at the chap that was only looking out for my interest. Other then to let him know that I wasn't just a Teras Kasi Artist (Which was what my title said at the time), but I made that paticular probot, and the five others that I lost previously.
He didn't let up on how easy it was to get a creature that was under 15 tame points from a CH.So, I had to pull out anothercard on him he didn't expect. Ilethim know that if I wanted to play with creatures all the time I would just pull my grand wrix out and show him what a real CHcould do. Which did anyone notice that not only did they fix how the pets worked they bumpbed up all their stats. Yep my grandwrix had 5.5 ham 180 to 200 damange before the last major patch now sits at 6.5 HAM and does 200 to 220 damage.
Talk about getting some loving I don't think CH could be more loved!

I will not strike.
I have BH's and friends who rely on my droids, i will not piss on my customers loyalty, nor will i let my friends down.
As has been said before, a strike will ONLY hurt BH's, no one else really buys our droids with any regularity, i will not be party to hurting another profession simply because a few players are angry andthink all DE's should go on strike.

More than just a few people are angry. No one wants to be a Droid Engineer and if no one wants to be a droid engineer, no one makes droids. Therefore the paradox of striking is just as bad as not taking a stand, they both equal: no droids for anyone including the BH. I would definately not leave the BH out in the cold because as I see it they are more nerfed than the nerf football I throw with my children. I am making a stand to say "Just please give a droid a chance".
Compared to the CH pets there is no reason to buy a droid, even a BH can get more out of the game with a pet with an insane ham and attack. According to what I have seen, BH only hunt for money, they can't even do a BH Misson to get the BH Experience points.
Sorry to be so crass but I think Sony is making a mistake with the DE issue.
As we all know, if we want something done from the Devs, we simply have to make it more worth their while to HELP us than to HURT us.
The Devs are having D-Base problems, so, its time to hit them where it hurts!
A call to arms where-by all DE's and Friends and supporters of DE's will strike on all servers, in all cities, on all planets...not only that, but we will only make ONE droid!! Which droid? Why?
We should all crank out as many MSE Droids as possible and put them EVERYWHERE with a message in the DEED.
"DEVS FIX THE DE!!!"
Imagine what would happen if all DE's cranked out 100 MSE Droids each and posted them to the Bazaar. Not only that, but other crafters in support of the DE's. We need the FLOOD the bazaar with Deeds and Items named: "DEVS: FIX THE DE'S!!!"
It will be very hard to ignore us when there are 10,000 useless itemes flooding every category in the bazaar terminal with a message to the Devs. The more NON-DE's we get to help, the more the DE's will realize that our profession should be a MAJOR priority!

I say that we all stop selling droids.
We can still mine the "f" out of the planet resouces and make our droids, but instead of letting anyone use them just destroy them or better yet stock pile them away. I could allways use the Master Artisan skills to make money on these pethetic missions they give us. That Practice mode on crafting sure looks better to me now.
I am one of the lucky artisans that has a few Bounty Hunter friends who scout all day long and find nice sweet spots while hunting to place my harvesters, not to mention they fund all of my resource gathering so I can afford to do this.
I am asking the entire Droid Community to go on strike and not allow any non-Droid Engineer to even look at a droid. Anyone with me or do I need to just go ahead and become a Creature Handler like all of the Sony suckups
I'm fully aware a DE strike would hurt BH's, and I have absolutely no beef with them. This is the only thing that's giving me pause right now.

I know that you may be concerned by the BH movement. I have two good friends online and off that are BH and have supplied me with the bone and hides to make Master Artisan, but the BH is also not working and will not be effective until they introduce the Player Bounties. The bounty hunters can even take bounty missions right now. So Unite I say.... Your BH brotheren will no be affected, and if they need a seeker fine, but now one else gets a droid, especially those dag gum ole Creatcher whatever handlers.

I can't bring myself to cripple the BHs for our own selfish needs. No strike.
I completely understand your motives and actions though. But it's not for me.
