Or... you could just make every module possible (choose 1 crafting station) and then put them all into a General Module Socket Cluster (you can embed them within each other in case you didn't know). Then put that Module Socket Cluster inside an MSE Mouse Droid and viola... you have a droid with every capability possible.

Just made an advanced R2

put 2xlvl3 storage in a generic cluster module

put 2xlvl4 medical modules in a generic cluster module

put a food/chem crafting station in it

put a lvl3 and a level 4 armour into the armour slots

This makes an advancedR2 with a medical rating of 110, 10 item storage, food and chemical crafting stationand medium armour with 40% resists.

Is this as good as droid engineering gets?

As far as usefullness? Maybe.

One might argue that you could do those same things into an Advanced Probot using Module Socket Clusters, and end up with a do-it-all droid that is also combat-capable. That, then, would be the best we can do, unfortunately.
