Oh man..... I think I want to cry. I new they were nerfed but my god..... They are USELESS. A newbie with a CDEF pistol is better than this thing. 821 HAM and 50 Dmg!!!!It is like being attacked with BB gun. They let ANYONE have a 3k HAM creature that hits for 150. We should get that at least. I sure hope this is soon to change.

Armor man, armor. Even at 820 HAM, a Probot with medium armor and 40% resists is much better at tanking than anything a non-CH can have. Can't do much damage, true, but it can tank for a good while.

Bria - Electro (N) ~ Shadowfire - Hydrolus (R) ~ Sunrunner - Zaxu Trizki (I) ~ Ahazi - Xonoryt (R) ~ Gorath - Geitizo Nimoirist (I) ~ Radiant - Tygran Virfais (N)

Is it true that it is a waste of time to build anything over Armor 4?

Not if you want to givea DZ70 Medium Armor with 40% resists........ <perplexed>

Currently, 2 Level 4 Armors can stack and give the same effect of 1 Level 6 armor module. This is great, only if you are making a droid with 2 armor slots. If you are looking to just turn out some base line Probots, not the Advanced model, the Level 6s are the way to go. The normal Probots are one less build step, so they are a bit cheaper to make and a loss of 10 HAM isn't going to be noticed all that much. With the Level 6 module, I think in most cases it would equate to one more hit that it can take (from a slightly lesser CL).

Level 6s have an up side and a down side. The upside is the saving in material costs and time needed to make 2 armor plates instead of 1. The down side is trying to find an Armorsmith to either make the Armor Segments that are required or give you the schematic to make them on your own, with a Wearables factory. This might end up costing you time and credits in the long run, so its a hard one to decide.

I lucked out and got ahold of a Master Armorsmith that was in a good mood. I got the schematic and he got himself an R3 unit. Not a bad trade, considering I had made the droid for myself, before I realized that I was out of room in my Datapad.....

Nope. You have to stack two level 4s to get one level 6. So using the level 6 is only to save space....if you can, it's preferable to do two level 4s, since I suspect they're easier on resources and skill points.

Except you can't heal a Probot. Anyone with a CL15 pet can spam follow/trick/attack and heal it with a stimpack and have it tank for a long, long time. All you can do with a Probot is watch it die.

I was bored on Lok the other night and had my uber L6 Armor Probot attack a Droideka. Any guesses as to how long the Probot lasted? Hint: it's measured in seconds... =)

I want to make Droidekas... =)

Do a factory run of Lvl 4 Armor modules...

Next do a factory run of Cluster modules with 2 Lvl 4 Armors inside, name it "Lvl 6 Armor Module"....

You'll never know the difference.
