Thread: DEATH WATCH GROUP IN NEED OF MDE
I saw the first room.
Doing 20 dmg per hit and be insta-killed is so depressing I don't think I'll come back there any time soon.
It can be done, you just have to make sure you go with a BIG group (20 at least), make sure you have plenty of Docs (for Buff & rez), CMs, Commandos, Bounty Hunters(Super Battle Droids have a low resistto Fire Electricty and Acid). Plus some Riflemen and a couple of Pikeman with PHs (as they do blast damage rather than kenetic) to tank. CHs with some smaller high HAM pets to tank (Rancors and stuff are too big for the small rooms & corridors).
The main problem is the Super Battle Droids - these things have between 200-300K of HAM, 100% Kenetic Resist & Heavy Armor. If you have a group that can take these down pretty quick, you should be able to get to the crafting rooms.
Death Watch Bunker isnt the sort of place you just go with a couple of friends - you need a very large, diverse & organised group to get anywhere. I went in a group of 20 and we got to the Shuttle Pad before we got swamped and all killed
If we had a more organised group I think we might have got further - problem is we didnt have any BHs with us, and only one commando with a Flame Throwerso it took us ages to beat down the SBDs. Are Docs kept getting killed as well, which didnt help alot!
As you need to get access keys off different mobs in each Section, you can't just run through, you have to fight all the way, but you can't stay in one place too long as all the mobs respawn every 4 minutes, which means you can't 'clear' the bunker one room at a time either! Its the hardest 'dungeon' in SWG, and makes the Vette look like a pleasant stroll through Coronet![]()
If you are going to go to DWB as a 'Crafter' (eg do not haveaMaster in a elite combat skill) make sure you are fully buffed (mind as well - Battle droids seem to do a lot of Mind Damage for some reason), have full composite and try and not to draw attention to yourself! Don't attack Mobs which are not aggroing another player, as if you get a Battle Droids on you, you can't run away (as the room behind will be full of newly spawned mobs) and you cant run ahead, so you have to stand and take itand without the combat skills you will be incapped pretty quick.
All said it can be a great place to have fun - we were one of 2 groups trying out the bunker, we had almost 40 players zapping stuff, people dying left right & centre, screams of 'HELP GET THIS DROID OFF ME!', 'HEAL ME!' etc, bodies being piled up by the Docs for rezs (dragged by CMs) etc. It was one of the first time I saw everyone trying to work together, as noone could solo this dungeon, it one of the firsttimes that the game was actually like the film - reminded me alot of 'Attack of the Clones' when the Jediwere fighting the Droid Army in the Arena.
If you are a MDE i do recommend you go as youwill be probably the most important 'Crafter' type needed in the Bunker, as most DEs also have Master Artisan (you need this for Rebreathers for the Alum Mines), and craft probably the 2 most 'desirable' parts in the bunker - the Jet pack & the Mandolorian Helmet.
Just make suire you have full Comp armor, a large organised group to go with, are fully buffed etc. Combat skills arent really essential as your job is'nt getting to the Crafting room - thats the job of the Combat Professions - your job is too stay alive until you can make thoseitems ![]()
But yes, even if I feel kinda useless there, it is quite fun.
Indeed, a well organized group is a must.
I even think a squad leader might be of a very good help there.
As for SBD, they are 230K HAM and have 85% kinetic resist (not 100% hopefully).and their lowest resist is electricity, so a bunch of BH is a must.
Someone managed to bring back one of those from the bunker way back to the smuggler outpost...Not a pleasant surprise.
