Thread: Question on Detonation Droids

Recently I have started makeing a batch of detonation droids for guild members and costumers. With that said, my guilds BH and decided to test these little toys to see what sort of damage they can do, before I put them up for sale. So far the results have been mixed and I am wondering if it is a bug with the droids, with the way it was used, or maybe not a bug at all. Here is what we tested, and the results:
Test 1: MSE Droid with 38 detonation rateing, no armor plateing added on a guild member useing composite armor and standing still, result: Droid explodes but did no damage.
Test 2: MSE Droid with 38 detonation rateing, armor plateing added on a Wookie guild member wearing Wookie armor and standing still, result: Droid explosdes, doing 700+ mind and 200-300 Health and Action damage.
Test 3 and 4: R3 ADV with detonation rateing of 55, no armor plateing added to either droid, on both tests, target was a Wookie, with Wookie armor and food buffs, Wookie target moved a little ways away from target, about 10m, result in test 3: Droid explodes, doing no damage and reporting no damage - note, the accepting of the duel for the test was after the order for the droid to detonate was given on this test; Test 4 results, Droid explodes, doing no damage, but reporting that the target took 1500 damage.
So far, the only succesfull test of these droids has been the one in which armor plateing has been used on the droid. Is this a bug? Has anyone else experianced these kinds of results? Is armor plateing needed for the droids to be succefull in dealing damage?
Any information you can give me would be appreciated. I have tried checking past threeds, but with so much information, I can not seem to find the answer I am looking for.

I have noticed the droid not damaging the target (though it reports damage). I'd say this is a known bug, but most definately do a /bug report next time you see it. Include in there the owners name, the time, the coordinates, the target, the amount of damage reported, any and all information you can think of. I want this bug gone... From the tests I've seen the droid doesn't need to have armor and it will do approximately 7k raw damage for a decent MSE (subtract from that pvp reduction, armor, etc, figuring the damage as AP0 blast damage). All my BH customers have been loving them for going after jedi, send one of these guys in while they're not looking and take their bike out from under them (giving the jedi some nice damage as well).
