Thread: Power droids and Playback modules

I just got word that a playback module in a power droid does not seem to be working for a customer. No menu appears for them to record a track, nor any program option. They are a novice entertainer. Anybody know anything about this? Is it a bug, or do they have to be a Musician?

You need novice musician to use the playback module if I remember correctly. Effect modules need novice dancer or novice musician to use.

Hmm, then the Knowlege base needs to be corrected. Artical SOE11498 states that Entertainers or Musicians can use the module.

Can anybody confirm this. Need a basic power droid with a playback module. The test is to see if a Novice Entertainer can use the module then test if a Novice Musician can use the module. Same droid if possible. Trying to determine what is the issue.
- Skill of the owner of the droid Novice Entertainer vs Novice Musician. If Novice Musician can use the module and the Novice Entertainer can not, then the artical is wrong and needs to be corrected.
- Power Droid and Playback modules do not mix. If neather can use the playback module, then either this is a bug(the module should work) or an artical is needed stating that this combination is not intended to work together.

AFAIK, you need Novice Musician or Novice Dancer to use the playback module.
Novice entertainer, I think is not enough.
As for the power droid, dunno, I never made a power droid, so can't tell.
I know playback module don't work in conversational droid like 3PO and LE.

I can confirm that having just Entertainer is not enough to use the playback module. I have a DZ-70 with 1 playback and 1 item storage module (it looks like a floating speaker 
), and I can no longer use the playback module after dropping Novice Musician. To my knowledge, Novice Musician is the requirement, but I haven't tested it with a Novice Dancer.
