Omg so I have just been a master for about 1 day and I am already seeing how many folks are totally uneducated about the types of droids. I have just been hanigng out in Coronet today waiting on factory runs of components to finish. In the meantime I am just crafting a few custom ones by hand, People are astounded when I show them scouting droids and especially bomb droids. I have been findin Joe Smuggler or BH and asking them to blow me up. So far everyone of them is extremely ignorant that these exist and totally impressed at what these do. Each time every person has been like "I'll take 5" or "How much for a crate". Does anyone else see this or has anyone tried to market them like this?

many of my customers are, or were at one time creature handlers, so often right after I see someone buy a droid from me they are trying to teach it the CH way (I still dont know how they teach cretures without a thing on the radial menu!)

They also complain that droids, although supposed to be like lvl10 creatures, dont hit hard enough, nor can they take much damage, I too have seen my best combat droids last up to 10 seconds in the fights this guild that buys from me normally puts them in, They still dont believe I cant make a droid that can tank a rancor, or two. They also tried using them as tanks in places like the DWB or geo cave, where they lasted an even shorter time. I would be happy if they made droids a little tougher in taking damage at least, and I would really like to see them have a little more power in the dealing of damage, I mean, this mount-trained kaadu given to me in exchange for a harvesting droid is able to take on even the highest quality combat droids that are able to be made. AND it can be mounted.

Yes, but creature pets are susceptable to states (dizzy, stun, blind, intimidation... and poison, bleeding, and disease as well) while droids are not.

You can have either-or you can have a droid that does damage or one that tanks. The Probots I sell have a 100 rated auto-repair module. It does 1 point of damage, 20% resists across the board, and it typically has 3188 HAM (jut shy of the max). I can get that thing to last me a while, I need batteries every so often. But as for tanking I don't know a better one.

The R3s I make also have 100 rated Auto-Repair but does 86-91 Damage, 20% resists and 4488 HAM. It can also tank.

Whereas the R3 and Probot with all combat modules do much more damage than those. But will not last as long without Repair Kits

The point of this post is to let you know you have options. I made a few 50% combat 50% Auto-heal R3s and the guy that ordered them ordered more for his friends

That would be me! I realized early that ppl won't go looking for something they know nothing about.. IE droids. My vendor is pathetically empty, but my bank isn't, and it's mostly due to starport sales. I usually pick 1 or 2 starports to hang out in on a night i need cash, setup my nice BLL droid, and do a shoutout.... it can be hard around coronet, cuz of all the AFK spam bots, but I make probably 75% of all my sales this way (the other 25% is by word of mouth). And your right, most ppl have no clue what droids can do, so when I'm there, and can take the time to explain things, and customize the color for them, and have it done in like 10 minutes.... well.. I almost always get a nice big tip I really think this is the best way to sell our droids, at the very least it's working great for me!
