I have been a Master Droid Engineer for about 8 monthes now and i have notice something interesting about mouse droids that i don't think anyone else has. When you do solo mission and are grouped with a MSE droid you recieve a 25% bounus to your exp. I have try this may time and always get hte same results. I frist take the missions with the droid not grouped with me (as it lowers the mission difficulty). When iarive at the mission i call the MSE and group with it about 100 meters from the lairand tell it tostay MSE die so easy i and you don't seem to get the bounus if thit is incaped of too far away (I'm not really sure thst point as i am usually carefull not to get i killed but if it is out of range you do loss the bonus)
Anyways i was woundering if anyone else has tried this and if so why is it so hard to sell MSE with stim pack despensors mine works great and getting a bit of a bonus is always great. let me know if what you find when testing this

You always get more xp if your grouped. That is whetherit is with a person or pet of any type.

Damn! I forgot all about this trick. I havent gone for combat xp for so long. I wonder if this works for Jedi xp - I'll have to try it.

Do you know, do you get more xp for different types of droids? say, your gruop with your 535 CR, Clvl 19 probot... will it give you a bigger bonus than that wimpy little MSE droid?

I haven't tested this out with different level droids and it's relationship to combat exp yet. But, I know you get more CH exp if you use a lower lvl creature pet to attack with.

i try to test if the bonus if different with differnt types of droids grouped with you and and if your own level effects the amount of exp and as near as i can tell there is a small diference depending on the average level of hte group but it is small about 1.5 % this could also be becuase there is a measure of randomness to the amout of exp you get from a creature just like how scouts get a some what random amount of organic reasouce from creatures.
Yhe way i test this is started a new charactor on a new server and after completing the frist beginer quests ( i need the money to get the droid (MSE) i did a little hunting i noticed a 23.2% ** (on average) increase in exp when hunting with the mouse group with me. this was a little bit less than i got with my main charactor in which i got about 24.7% ** (again a rounded off average ) with a MSE grouped with me and i got 23.1% using a porbot. now having never really noticed if every kill gives you the same exp i'm still not sure if the mse does give you more or not. i guess i'll have to keep testing. (please note there may also be errors in my math as it was late when itested this ...... but for know i just tell people i'm tanking for the mouse droid to make things a fair fight ......

If you are in any group, you will get a bonus to XP. I'm not sure if this is dependant on the group level, but as a novice brawler, I remember I used to get an extra 1k xp on some creatures.
If the average level of the group is higher than your own combat level, then you will pull better missions (similar to how you will get lower level missions if you unequip your main weapon, or equip a weapon you are not cert'd for).
This is only helpful up to a point. As a Master Commando, if I group with a CL19 droid I will get worse missions than I should solo, as the group's combined level is lower than my own.

Absolutely right. This is why I ungroup by using the "group" command a second time, pull my missions, and then regroup.
Additionally I leave small pets at the mission terminal with the "stay" command. I still get the XP bonus and they stay out of the way.
