Any suggestions what this could mean?
Its from the CU TC, not in live (checked that)
Full Player Cyborgs? (a little less commands for that)
Specials for the cybernetics? (revive? )

oh please let the cybernetics be this cool!! oh and be DE crafted enhancements of course!! no not a DE here but a long time follower of the hell this profession has been put thru while waiting for the right time to drop skill points to start my DE career.....cant afford alts or the months of grinding to FS alt slot so DE willbe a do it and thats it situation for me......first word of cybernetics being handed to DE and thats going to happen for me along with 3000 other crafter FOTM'ers but what can ya do........but as big a change as this is it should require multi profession's to do....DE...BE...doc as a installer? cant imagine BE getting yet another level of control in the game but it could happen...or maybe these will be the new uber loot from nightsisters and only the top 3% will ever have the chance to enjoy them or use them and of course they will be "uber L33t" with them and unbeatable in PVP and everything else...quess I should be quiet before the devs get any ideas.........

You raised a valid point there and one I am not looking forward too. If we (DE) get any wiff of cybernetic crafting the market is going to be swamped with loads of DE's Which is a shame as I like be slightly unique and rare. Suppose we cant have our cake and eat it. Onwards and upwards.

What needs to happen is crafting these things need resources that an established DE will have and not just somebody who ground up the day before.
For example Ditanium Steel and Lidium Ore, work in high OQ and CND stuff, and you give DE's and edge.
The way you prevent 100 new DEs flooding the market with crap, just like in JTL is with smart resource requirements.

I wonder though, like JTL, to avoid the Beta players from having a "significant" advantage over those not in Beta, that the resources for the cybernetics will be "new" like the resources for Shipwright subcomponents were new......and became "live" on the first day JTL was released.
We dont have alot of history to go on, because there has only been one expansion so far (JTL).......if I were a "betting man", Id say Cybernetics will require "new" resources.....and MOST likely, they will come off Asteroids...........why do I say that.........look here.
Specifically, if you read the the sixth "bullet" line..........it says,
"Embark on daring new space mining missions to recover precious raw materials for sale to ground-based crafters. Surviving slews of pirates will provide unprecedented economic opportunities"
I don't know what that means to you, but if SWG expansion "history" repeats itself, i'd say cybernetic resources are new and in space. One mans opinion.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to cybernetics, just because of the fact that it is something my character would do to himself. I just wish they were permanent, and not interchangable. Maybe, only could be removed when you die (you're cloning your DNA, not a robot arm that replaced your original one). If they are interchangeable like that, they might as well just be clothes or armor.

Unfortunately, they will probably require previously non-DE resources, so we'll have to hunt for them just like everyone else. The main advantage us old DE's will have is that we will be established and will be the first ones to be hit up by the community.
Actually, the real advantage will be for those participating in the beta of RotW. It doesn't break the NDA for them to go into the live game and gather the resources once the find out what resources they need for cybernetics. Assuming, of course, they are not brand new resources.

Lol Rasal, just like everybody who went and made sure they had Dioxis Inert gas before JTL right? Heh.
