Been thinking about this for a couple of days...
Its likely that we'll see some serious Re-grinding of proffs in the next CU.
Its likely we'll see serious new armor production ramp-upsin the CU.
In fact, its SO likely, we should start production NOW.
The big sellers?
Probot fire-support, LE tank droids, for peeps to re-grind new templates.
Harvesting droids as the new armors come into SERIOUS demand.
Planetary survey droids to help other crafters out as thier demands are going to hit the roof.
Note... target your friendly BE and make sure they know the benefits of a crafting/harvesting droid. Looks like they are getting all the pharma profits.
Take a look at some of the new template combo's. For example.. did you know you can be a MBH/doc or a MBH/MCM in this new world? Immagine a Probot with level 6 armor 110 medical and say.. 2 combat/auto prepair units at your side? Hmmm...
Knowing what we know about the CU, what other combo's should we stock up on? What other droids should we have ready for making a good healthy buck off these poor-bastages re-grinding thier virtual lives?

Well, there's going to be a "re-spec" where combat templates can change around their professions to fit the new roles, so I doubt we'll see a ton of"re-grinding."

Personal opinion: Bad idea. Those of us who remember the last 4 combat droid changes can tell you that sometimes stuff changes and it's not retro-active....and sometimes they are. Sometimes the new product is better than the old one.

See above.
Harvesting droids as the new armors come into SERIOUS demand.
Yea, that might be true if they didn't still get the 40% group penalty.

Again, probably not. Most crafters are set with their specific production lines. With the advent of JTL it takes at most 20 minutes to check all of the planets.

Any respectable BE already has one (especially if they do pet sampling) in order to make DNA templates on the fly.

We don't even know how the medical modules work under the new system. It's too early to tell anything regarding medical.

Again, I would be cautious about mass producing anything with a change this big comming down the line.

I was thinking that medical droids with armor and stim dispensors may become very popular as docs have to go into battle now instead of sitting around buffing.

I hope that your optimistic view is correct. I hate being negative, but I don't have such a pretty view of the future.
We are not sure yet how the stim droids will work, however, considering how well Maint, Barkers, and Harvestor droids currently work, I would be shocked if Stim droids even work at all under the new system.
In theory it would appear that Combat droid sales "should" go up, I hope so, but I doubt it, here is why.
Pets and Droids DON'T increase the "con" level of your group. Meaning you will take just as much damage with or without them. So getting "tougher" just because you have a Probot with you wont work. Also as far as actual fighting goes, we will need to see how well they function. The main problem is that with the new con based level system, where you take more damage based on your level, anything that agroes you will kill you before your droid can do anything. He can't save you from a one or two hit kill.
I hope I am wrong, I really do.
