Normally, I try to be very positive about this game and it's future, I have been an mde on Lowcasince 7/30/03 and damn proud to be one, I suffered the first nerf (best nerf) when probots were immasculated (09/03). Anyway, I always assumed that one day SOE would hire someone who actually thought droids had a serious place in star wars, only to see a constant stream of nipple piercing punks come, burn out,and go from the elitist dev group, doing absolutely nothing realto add droid content to this game. Now after almost 2 years of this a second expansion comes out and what i'm seeing/hearing is more of the same. If one day you log on and don't see me, it may signal my characters demise...One thing I do know is I have met lots of really neat people in this game so at least theres that, but i'm not sure that a text based mud would not have accomplished the same thing...i'm in a serious funk today and need some hugs from you self absorbed bastards ok, thx..posting in lowca/de threads

You think my hugs are under Misc>general items? Meh, they get listed special under Community Crafting Projects.

I feel your pain man, I love droid crafting I just wish they would get their heads out of their ass and start realizing that this was a game about the star wars universe and maybe then they will realize that droids really have an important part to play in that universe.
We can hope, some day.

Seriously, I've been master DE for a month or so now, and it's somewhat discouraging. I love DE and all the things I can make. Being new to the game and DE trade, I find it very time consuming to make a number of things like repair kits with very little profit, etc.Additionally, it's somewhat frustrating that the profession I've chosen is by and large, ignored. I have a few customers who are making me rich with my det droids, but overall, something needs to happen to at least keep a profession alive, if not help it grow. I've read a number of things that will be cool to a DE (call more than one droid, DE-specific droid, etc), but what really needs to happen is a demand for our products.
How much isthe most expensive thing everyone sells? For me, it's around $200K. Ask the same question to a weaponsmith and armorsmith, and it's in the millions. Yet, we still have to pay for good resources and spend time manufacturing or hand crafting things.
I guess nothing will ever be completely fair, and that's ok. It would just be nice for the devs to through us a bone...

I was there a few months ago... before any of the CU/RotW junk.... What got me going was doing DWB dives and crafting jetpacks and ACTUALLY being needed in the dive. Take some time off ... Shipwright keeps me doing other stuff so I don't get discouraged by how 2-3 mods have been nerfed.
We've all been there.

cabo got a forum ban for posting this fyi,he said he isdumping De and arch and respecing to combat, hope npc's can make bh droids and harvesters cause lowca just lost a hardcore merchant, thx soe, thx alot
