Holo 2 told me to become a MDE. What's the best items to craft to grind to the top? Also at which point should I switch to somthing else to use to grind and what should that be? Any insight would be more then helpfull.

Thanks.

You may want to consult the very first post that is stickied to the very TOP of the forum entitled "How to grind your way to Master Droid Engineer". It is right below the "New Message" button you had to have clicked on to post this message.

Or as Gnome put it, RTFS.

Now being as this is one of the few Profs I really like, but I have to grind through it, I am asking for tips.

So far, I can grind Entertainer and Artisan profs easily, but combat classes evade me. I hear people mastering Pistoleer or TKA in 2-5 days and I'm baffled.

So here I am, humble an admitting my newbness. Any tips?

MasterOfPikes - I wish.

Okay, so, these characters have the ability to build starships to travel the stars, bio-engineer animals by playing God with their DNA and even -- bring people back to life (I know, just kidding), yet..... They still haven't figured out how to make roads?

When someone says they mastered it in a few hours thats just BS. When people say they did it 3-5 days its probably because they had extra combat xp to spend making them 0003 as soon as they hit novice. If they didn't have that bonus, starting from scratch, then they must have played atleast 5-8 hours a day. If you want tips on what to do for the grind.

1. Get a speed sliced 2 handed curved sword and powerhammer.

2. Get doctor buffs (Put every stat into mind, that way docs buff all health and action while your mind pools are high as well without taking brandy or muon)

3. Head to Dantooine, grab savage quenker missions, 6.8K-7K

I think the best I did in 2.5 hours time with doc buffs was get 300k xp. I killed everything in sight.

He's 100% correct. I actually went out to Dant last night, and couldn't pull any missons.

Let's pretend for a moment that I was sick and tired of trying to create works of art that were funny or interesting. Instead I decided to become a worthless political cartoonist, scrawling my work on the backs of paper dinosaurs and eagerly anticipating the next tragedy so that I could draw a picture of a bald eagle crying on a torn American flag. If that's what I decided to do, then my first cartoon might be a drawing of a mouse trap which I would label "Star Wars Galaxies". Inside the mouse trap I would draw a piece of cheese and I would label it "The Jump to Light Speed expansion". Then off to the side I would draw an octopus that would represent America's foreign policy pre 9-11.

Do the plain old quenkers then. The missions pay from 5000-5300 credits. You may have to refresh the mission terminal 5 otr 6 times for a quenker to come up. With my PowerHammer (and a doc buff)I just drive right up and attack the lair (ignoring the 2 quenkers that are standing there) until the first spawn pops out. Then I use Spin 2 to nail all 4 quenkers at once! Man I love that... Kile the last spawn and the lair and you are on to the next.

With a pet parked in a city you get 3188 XP per quenker. On average 5 and a baby pop each lair.

Oh, I could get the savage quenker missions, but because of a bug with the mini-publish yesterday, none of the missions I accepted were waypointed. It should be fixed by tonight. I hope.

Awesome, you guys are great.

I also heard that if you can handle them, Veermok and Narglatch caves on Naboo are great for XP, but they respawn slowly.

If you are trying to hit master as quickly as possible then running missions gets in the way of that goal.

1. Move all the HAM points you can into mind and it's secondaries.

2. Get yourself a good suit of ubese (you only need kinetic protection so why waste the composite.)

3. Get buffed and...

4. Go to Dantooine and run quenker missions (use your curved sword) until you reach novice (I know I said avoid missions but stick with me.)

5. Once you reach novice, run savage quenker missions until you are 031x.

6. Go to the science outpost on Yavin and kill everything you can with 1500m (don't worry about missions) until you get to 333x - you should average 4K per kill.

7. Go to Dathomir, specifically near the sarlacc. Within 500m there are at least 7 rancor lairs (plus numerous kamuraths) these will get you 4 - 5K per kill and are pretty easy at this point.

If you have any scout, harvest meat. I sell it for 6cpu on the bazaar and it never lasts more than 12 hours regardless of quality. If it is good stuff you can probably sell it for 15cpu or better.

Using these techniques you can get ~600K xp/hour on steps 6 & 7.

Now that you are a master, enjoy the best melee profession in the game.

Whoa, are you serious? If you are I'm doing that! Wow, 600k xp/hour, thats insane! The only thing is, I mastered pikeman on sunday, and I'm going to take a break from doing any fighting for a few more days (at least until monday) then I'll be on my way to master swordsman!
