Thread: DE Big sellers?
- Who would use this?
- Why would they use this?
- How long would it be until they come back and get another one from me?

I was considering hopping over to MDE, but everyone's so grim in here! Really does look like fun, but there's no income eh? Poor guys
Pfft. All professions have their gripes. But you summed it up there: It's a fun profession, but don't expect Big Bucks like WS or AS.

As my time as a DE i have made myself a small fortune and a name for myself. and this is the top 5 on my list
1) R3 bomb droids in single
2) More R3 bomb droids
3) R3 bomb Droids in their crates
4) More R3 bomb Droids in their Crates
5) errmm.. maybe your got the trend....
I sell them for 60K each on average i sell 50 to 70 per week but this really depends on the demand of the droids from the BHs and the amount you paid for the resources (note that tolium reactive gas is a rare and expensive resource to get). So you may price them differently.
Other than that I also stock up some 110med with 10 Storage capability droids, but as my fellow DEs in this thread tells ya, this profession is more about interests than making big bucks as weaponsmiths/armorsmiths
1 - Harvest Droids with 114 Power (Highest available in Kauri) - 150k to 175k per. The key here is that I share a retail location with our server's premiere Master Doc Merchant. He is consistently arranging hunts and incentivizing people to bring in tons and tons of meat for a preset price. This may also work very well with a Master AS.
2 - BH Droids. With the increase in Jedi, there's always BH's looking for Arakyd's and Probes. I sell crates of 5 for 25k
3 - Medical Droids. My favorite is a DZ70 with 10 item storage and Med 110. Great to hold buff crates and use for buff sessions - 50k and they sell out really fast. Again, probably good that my shop is in a location heavily travelled by docs.
4 - Bomb Droids. Already covered here ... but if you get in with the right crowd, this is massive revenue potential. - 60,606k
5 - Power Droids. I have a couple of consistent high volume buyers, usually guys that run buffbots. - 50k
6 - Can you believe I have another one? Astromechs. I sell R5's at the 3,4,5,6 Certification level for 50k.
I agree that DE will never make the money of AS or WS, but it's fun and I enjoy it. I intentionally price high to keep the restocking to a minimum as I also enjoy playing my combat oriented alt. I've been doing DE for over a year now, and I'm thinking about switching to AS. The only thing stopping me is my DE resources collection and stockpile of Pre-fabbed factory subs is extensive and it would take a lot of time and effort to get to that level with AS.
Best of luck to all of you DE's,

Just a note, Don't over make/ over stock on them 110Med droids as Doctors cannot buff after the CU comes out.
- Crates of Seekers (never less than 20 crates)
- Crates of Arakyds (never less than 15 crates)
- Bomb Droids (fast sellers)
- MSE Power 19
- Adv MSE Power 39
- Adv R3 Power 57 (I have about 10 constant buyers for these)
JTL Droid Vendor
- Unprogrammed Droid Chips (don't sell too fast)
- Pre-Programmed Droid Chips (sell even slower)
- Flight Computers (decent sell rates)
- Astromech Droids (fair sell rates)
Droid Vendor
- Crates of Batteries (a must have)
- Droid Stims (also a must have)
- Droid Storage Compartments (slow sales, but when someone wants them they want them now)
- Adv Probot (Combat rating 525+, sell fast)
- Adv Surgical with 110 Med, Food/Chem Crafting, 10 Item Storage (constant sales)
- Adv R3 with all Entertainer effects (Can't make them fast enough sometimes)
Finance: I sell about 20 crates of Seeker, Arakyd and Bomb droids a day. Not the highest numbers, but it pays for the harvesters, mall, power, and everything else. My regular Droid vendor and JTL vendor are almost all profit since the BH vendor pays the bills. I'm also a Master Architect so my harvesters and factories are virutally free. I have a Master Doctor and a Master Smuggler that supply me meds and spices to sell allowing me to diversify my inventory. I also have Merchant Efficiency 4 giving mea 20% discount on all maintence on structures, factories, and harvesters.
Location: I am located about 700M from the BH terminals in Kaadara Naboo (Heavy BH traffic). I placed my Mall at waypoint 5000 6000 so it's easy to remember and you can't see the city from the Mall.
Advertising: I usually have a barker droid out by the starport advertising everything my Mall has for sale. Word of mouth is a huge seller. I have one BH that advertises for me that he collected a bounty on one of the highest jedi on the server using one of my bomb droids. BH's talk to each other and share waypoints.
Stocking: I've been running my Mall for 4 months and have never run out of Seeker, Arakyd, or Bomb droids. Keeping a vendor well stocked is the key to keeping business flowing into your shop. Since Master Artisan is almost a requirement for MDE I also have a vendor loaded with swoops, vehicle paint kits and backpacks.
