I had a customer recently that really irked me. He came to me one day saying he was having a problem finding a reliable DE. Since I have done a few DE related things for this guy and it has all gone well up until now. He asked me to build him some droid bodies with the schematics he provided. He offered them to my vendor. It took me a few days to get to it. My normal price is 7500 which is essentially 10x the resources. That is my generic pricing for items, some are more some are less. Since it took me awhile to build them I only charged him 6500. This is the response I get:
"So all you did was put MY schematics together for me and you would have charged me 7500 APIECE if it hadn't taken you so long? classy."
That irked me so I responded that it was the cost of the resources. Then I was still a little annoyed so I responded further that it was not just the cost of the resources. I had devoted my time to building something for him, my resources to get to DE, my time to grind DE, my resources to build something for him, and even delivered them to his vendor.
His was response was as so:
"mhmm, wow - wowwy wow wow wow... whatever would i have done if YOU hadn't used YOUR skills and YOUR materials to put the schems together. wow YOU are a DE and YOU have metal and YOU used a few units of it...wow...YOU might want to think of finding metals that YOU don't have to obtain at a cost to YOU of several dozen cpu so that YOU aren't having to work so hard when YOU do something so simple. that way YOU don't have to run off customers when YOU overcharge so much for the work that YOU do with YOUR time and YOUR resources and YOUR DE skills that YOU spent so much of YOUR time and YOUR effort and YOUR petty ego on...."
My response was: "I see why you have had so much trouble finding a stable DE. You are a jerk."
So my question to the DE community is, how much do you all charge for assembling droid bodies, how do you respond to complaints about prices, and is there anyway to send my Droid Army to get this guy?

If it is somebody who buys a lot of droids from me normally, I do it for free, but I have a lot of resources.
If it is not a name I recognize, I charge them 10k. If I provide the body schematic, I charge 20k.
Next time tell him he can be free to grind up MDE and put it together himself. Also another argument would be that in the amount of time it took you to put his stuff togther and to get the resoruces that you coudl have made more running missions.
Ask him how much he spent last time to fix his speeder, no resources and no time for anybody. He probably doesn't even know. Some people just complain.

That fine gentleman would have found his way to my /ignore list faster than he could say "wowwy". You were right in calling him a jerk...I'm afraid I would have found it difficult to keep it that civil.
In answer to your question...I've been charging 5k if they supply the schematic and 15k if it's one of mine, or no charge if they give me another schem in lieu of cash.

He had only bought some droid storage compartments so not a long time customer. So I am not far off with 7500 with other people being 5-10k. I am the average. Granted its a two person sample but it still works.

My simple response to this certain reaction would be:
"Well, if you're not going to pay for them I'll just put them on my vendor, thanks for the schematics."
I wouldn't ignore unless they got really annoying afterward though.

i can sell them easily on my server for 10K each, if i was you, i'll pull them back out from the vendor and dump them onto mine or on the bazzar for a high price

Probably would not have hurt to tell him your price before making the product. I think that would have saved you some grief. Doesn't excuse his behavior, but I'm just being objective.

You are probably right. Would have avoided the whole mess. Though he is just as guilty as I am since he never asked. Never buy something without knowing the price.

When I get to the box where I am able to make them I will be chatrging 10k (which seems to be my standard rate for 'loot' schematics - although I'll admit this was based on the fact that the schematics_used_ to sell for 6k on the bazaar)
Althought to be fair I tend to make the loot schematic furniture more the for the structure xp to convert to force crafting xp than for the finished item and the sale...... (and the bazaar price limit raise has simply reduced the amount I'm willing to pay for these since its obvious whos just trying to rip you off now...)

Not only would he have found his way on my ignore list, but I would have gotten a new name on my shops ban list. DE's don't need to put up with people like this. I would have charged 10K for the droid bodies too. With some of the resources you put your life on the line collecting them.
