befor the patch you could put clusters in any general module slot. You could even put a cluster within a cluster. Loading down a probot or even a mse droid. Now you have to pay attention to what sockets are avail on what droid. You cant put a cluster on a probot -adv or regular. You CAN use em in R2's and R3's and maybe on the adv mse droid. Seems that the R2 adv or R# adv would work best. Try the clusters in those. Or look at the schematics for a droid that states clusters specifically, not just a gen mod socket

The reason that they are no longer working for you is because they are now working as intended. Take a look at each and every module socket that you are trying to put the cluster into. The only module socket that will accept the ClusterModuleis the General Droid Module Socket Cluster.

This is where Ackis would come in and yell "Exploiter!"

....but I'm not going to do that

Oh so true.....then he would more than likely call the person a noob, after he realized that the person was just unaware that the cluster mod usage was just bugged before the Publish.

This is just another example of someone that is not aware of the 'hidden features' that are finally being taken care of.

Gee... I hate to tell you guys/gals this... but, LONG before the decision was made to 'de-bug' this "feature", I made the decision to NOT place cluster modules on any mount point NOT labeled "cluster socket".

hmm... I suppose that makes me somewhat of a rare breed... an "inherently honest man".

- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.

No, Pallida, believe it or not you aren't all that rare.

There are a considerable number of DEs who figured out a long time ago that putting cluster sockets into module harnesses was exploiting a bug in the code, and I've avoided making such droids.

I started doing this exclusively a LONG time ago, primarily because I'd been hearing reports that GSMs in non-GSM slot might be causing functions to fail.

I'd rather build a droid where everything works.

well thank you for clearing this up for me. and i have bought droids off ackis, and screaming exploiter would be ironical from a guys who i have seen running around coronet starport shouting 'selling droids with all 4 crafting stations!'...

and yes i DID grind out DE too fast to fully understand the ins-and-outs of the profession. after taking 2 months of slogging out armoursmith before i ever heard of the works 'macro-grinding' i seriously didnt want to do this with another profession. iamlearningthe hard way, you could say. thanx for the advice and help

Well, there isn't anything exploitative about building a droid with all four crafting stations though...

That's not an exploit.....just a really pricey droid.

heh, he said ironical.

I once made (and destroyed) a droid with 6 crafting stations thanks to this bug. Never try and build a bunch of R2s at the same time.

Actually...you can do it, just be really careful.
