My R2 droids are guaranteed to come out a diffent color everytime they are called. Now if I call my own R2 that I crafted the color is fine and custom colors will stick. However, any R2 crafted by me called by another will come out a diffent set of colors everytime. Customization will only last until the droid is stored, once called again it will be a different set of colors. Not that I sell many but still bothersome.

From what I'm starting to see fall into place, this is the way it's going to be until such time as the change is made that lets all players use Droid Customization kits. So, you'll be able to just buy the kits from your local DE outlet and paint them yourself as needed (I update mine about every couple of days or so...but I call my droids a LOT).

Are you selling really old R2's out of a crate ? The only droids I ever hada problem with paint not sticking for the 20 pulls has been really old astromechs built before the paint kits came out.

actually, giving other players access to customization kits isn't goin going to fix this in my opinion. They need to remove the fact that the R2 randomly changes color when it hasn't been customized. A lot of people LIKE this feature and don't want the customization kit even if they could use it. The only thing that's going to fix this is if they give the R2 units an ugly boring default color when unpainted. One that randomly changes color is much cooler than one that has actually been painted.

Actually, I still don't understand why they just didn't make customization stick for good. DE's don't make any money off painting a droid, so I really don't see the point in making paint decay in the first place.
Your right though Mailtevv, the advent of the paint kit was just an easy fix for them to put in to take care of the chassis color not coming out on the final droid. A cheap way out IMHO.
