Thread: IG-88 Assasination droids

Hey everyone I'm not a DE at all so was wondering if you could answer this for me. I can't remember where I seen it exactly but I was in an Imperial Player city and they had IG-88 assasinatiom droids standing around. can you make these? Even just the chasis? Or was it maybe a vendor of some sort? I would love to have one if at all possible even if just for looks. Any info would be great! Thanks
Just as a side not I have to say I really wished droids played a bigger part in SWG than what I see from my TKM side of the fence. The only droid I really use is a medic droid. and I see BH needing the seekers all the time. I think this is unfortunate cause when I watch the movies/read the books droids seem to be on of the key elements in the series. Where as Creature handlers are a very back ground kind of profession in the movies. yet in the game this seems reveresed. Doesn't make sense to me. I want droids not creatures! lol The Pro-bot looks awesome but he just dies 
anyway any info on IG-88's would be awesome!

Sorry no they are only NPCs currently. They may be available for Droid Handlers to use at some future date though.

The IG-88 Assasin droid you saw was a Bounty Hunter trainer. I have one right outside my city hall. Before this mess, i was kind of thinking that they were going to give Master Bounty hunters the cert to use this droid.

Heh, didn't IG-88 kill the guy who made him? Would be another way to add flair and flavor to the game. NPCs getting bounties on players.

Technically there were only 5 IG-88s so in theory what we'd get is the IG-72 which was the precursor.

don't forget the second death star. Apparently a 2.5 second appearance in the game means that this droid WAS the death star... yea right.

actually the droid got loaded into the deathstar and thus he became the deathstar- and thats how the final ig88 died.... being the deathstars computer when it was blown up... if i recall right this was the 2nd deathstar
