Thread: Composite armor segment availability

I'm having a very difficult getting composite armor segments. Is there a substitute for it? Or, is there a way to make 2 level 4 armor plates and combine them into heavy armor?

40% medium armor is the best armor for droids at the moment, you can get this by stacking 2 lvl 4 armor modules, or just use one lvl 6 armor module.

The only way to get level 6 equivalent is to have a droid that can accept 2 or more armour plates. I don't have much of a problem getting the segements, just find a shop that sells composet armour and send a game mail to the crafter asking for a couple crates of them with no special layers. I avoid spamming at major spaceports like Coronet because you tend to get Armoursmiths that are more interested in selling whole suits, not the segements.
With 18 units of grindmetal per segement and 50 segements to a crate I'll buy them for 5k a crate. Gives decentprofit to the crafter and lets me have a stock that'll lasta while.
