Thread: Question from a beginning DE

I'm assuming all these changes wont come into effect for awhile? I'm up and coming in the DE profession and I'm concerned that if I FINALLY make it to Master, that it'll be for naught. I have a couple questions coming from a beginner:
Will there still be a Droid Engineer profession?
I don't wanna waste my time mastering DE if it's not going to be around.
Why the hell does this have to happen now?
I just started this character with the intent and purpose of being a DE. Now, HUGE changes on the horizon. Just great...If I have to grind one for friggin' profession just to be good, I quit.

The DE profession isn't going anywhere, though there are big changes comming. We're not quite sure what changes will end up happening, but currently it looks like a seperate droid handler profession will be created to allow for high level combat droids. DE's will still have all the crafting skills, this new profession will only have the ability to control high level combat droids. Again, nothing is certain still.
