I've made this request on a number of posts concerning the upcoming "Droid Invasion", but I thought I'd give it a post of its own to see the opinion of the community....

DE is not being fixed.

Oh, sure, they are putting a module slot in the BLL and closing the stacking loophole that allowed uber-MSE's, but the profession as a whole isn't being fixed.

In publish 7, we will be given some new combat modules and droids that will allow us to make more CL10 combat droids no one will ever want to go with our wonderful Probot.

In 8, we are apparently getting a DH profession, (or as I like to call it CH Metal) who will then be able to buy the above CL10 combat droids we will be able to make.

Meanwhile, back at the shop, the BLL, Repair, and Protocol chassis await a time when they will be useful. R series droids wonder if they will ever be more than mobile crafting stations and luggage. Power droids don't do anything, since you can't make a chassis of one and its a waste to use your only callable droid slot on decorative furniture.

We have either been misunderstood or ignored, but both are inexcusable considering the current outcry in the forums. With that in mind I put for the proposal that.....

We, as a community, refuse to make any of the new combat related droids and modules. Just don't do it. If they make probots more difficult to make, refuse to make them as well. If the Dev's want to continue to waste our time as we wait month after month for our profession to be fixed I think it only fair that we waste their time that they spent giving us something we didn't want.

Its too much to ask non-DE's not to buy any of the new droids from DE's who do make them, but from the lack of response on the Dev's part to our current outcry it appears that they are going through with the DH option regardless....

So, also, don't take that profession. Even if you were one of the DE's that felt we should be a combo crafter/combatant profession, don't do it. Let the stat's they are so fond of tell the story. When they go to see how many people are DH's, the stat should read 0.0%.

Hopefully, our outcry will be enough and the Dev's are, at this moment, in feverish meetings debating how to fix the DE's instead of throwing one more bone at us.......but who am I kidding......

Do as I have done andstart dropping DE. I decided I was tired of waiting for them to fix us, so I have already surrendered to 4003. I'll be giving up the rest over the next week or two, as I go up some Medic and Marksman. I have the grinding resources set aside, and all my DE stuff has been packed up into several backpacks and put in a safe place. This summer or Autumn, when DE are getting closer to being fixed, I'll grind it out again and play the DE I joined SWG to play. Maybe it will happen before THanksgiving.

I have been deadly bored of this game during the last several weeks and deebating seriuosly quitting. I'm also a Chef, and thier new stuff has injected me with new life and energy. I just put out an order for several hundred K of Flora resources to get ready for all the cool stuff Chef is getting. So, thanks a lot Devs, you have ruined DE for me. Hope choke on all the time you spent working on a working prof like CH (working even if unbalanced) while DE was busted.

Forget strikes, just drop the dang profession. I have 5 droids in my datapad that will serve me in every conceivable capacity, even a couple ProBots for people to laugh at. But they will serve me well during the next 6 to 9 months till DE becomes worthwhile to play. I will not be sendning DE any biz, since I have no need for any R2 with a blaster duct-taped to its head.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

please understand that adding combat droids will go 10 times faster than adding utility droids, so first combat droids than utility droids. dont wanna wait any longer whithout anything at all.
