Heh heh... 5 stars from me
Sketh,
You didn't think I was gonna let TH get away untouched by the hand of the mighty TK421, did you?
You all know me better than that....

Respectfully,
To be honest, I think the post said quite well what I was thinking - and am somewhat surprised at your restraint in your language ![]()
I haven't posted any true rants (though, a few smart arsed comments slipped through) in the hopes that my attempts at constructive posts won't get obfiscated. Though, I don't know if they will get read, let alone acted on... hrmmm....
The following definition of insanity suddenly comes to mind: Repeating the same actions in the hopes of a different outcome.
And your writing that noone will use the new profession I think your wrong, the "Uber-Power-Gamers" will play it until a new profession comes out. Right now I've noticed a sudden increase in tells for training, I'm guessing this has to do with combat droids. If they make a DM prof the most of those players will be joining that and dragging some of our abilities with them to that tree, because the DEV's can never make a full profession for droid handling without taking things that should belong in DE, like coloring (future possible reconfig of droids) and such.

Yeah, more than likely it will. Man, why oh WHY can't they skip the combat droid business for now and give DE's utility droids instead...
No....they won't. And there's one very HUGE reason they won't...
You can't "heal" a droid in the middle of combat.

The uber folk out there will likely not go to DH.
The reason that that droids they will likely introduce will not be worthwhile, in comparison to what has to be given up to get them.
Most veteran DEs know this to be true....sorry.

Respectfully,
Totally agree.
In all these threads, how many people have said, "Wow, can't wait to be a DH!"
I have read exactly one.
As I said in another thread, adding a profession that no one seems interested in personally playing when we have so many broken professions right now, is like a mother on welfare with six kids who goes out and has a seventh one when she can't even support the first six. It's wrong, it's insulting to the rest of us, and the fact that they are even considering it is sick.
The "uber" players are already CH's - do you honestly think for one second that the DH tree would be any more than a carbon copy of CH? If it isn't, the CH's will be screaming bloody murder.
We don't want CH with droid skins. Because of this very "balance" issue, that's all that could ever happen.
The "uber" players wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole, and if by some miracle they find it attractive enough to switch from CH - you can bet DH would be nerfed within a week.
This is such a no-win situation, it's not even funny.
Audio
Exactly.

I knew that you, especially, would understand and agree, Audio.
(by the way, I don't know if you ever heard me say "Sorry").

The only problem that I ran into was that I had changed the topic/subject to read:
"Re: ID #3: Droid Evasion"
That didn't make it through....oh well. I think the point got made anyway.
