I've been putting two level 4s instead of one level 6. This should get you the same 40% resist, I believe.

I also think this level's attainable with a level 4 and level 3 armor.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand armor is that it follows the same formula as item/med/data storage module of (X + Y - 1) where X and Y are modules of a particular level, and the total cap being at 6. So a level 4 plus level3 armor module would be 4 + 3 -1 = 6 which is the max.

I don't know about the level 4 and level 3, but I know that two level 4's gets you the same rating as 1 or even 2 level 6's. I've only made one droid since August with a level 6 armor module, since it's bugged as all get out.

I'm pretty sure the difference is going to be light vs medium armor. Even when the resistances are equally 40%, the medium armor adds a lot of survivability against most creatures and light weapons.

If you can't make lvl 6 armor then I suggest buying it from a Master and putting it on. Anyone looking into buying a Probot will have their decisions greatly influenced by the armor level. What I ended up doing was taking 18k of steel and having an armorsmith make a schematic for a composite armor segment. I blasted out a thousand of them, turned around and made 500 lvl 6 armor modules. I suppose you could also have a MDE make a schematic for you as well.

As with other modules 2 level 4s = 1 level 6. With 2 level 4s you get the same result (Medium Armor with 40% resists) as 1 level 6. It's a cap like the 10 item storage.

So my UBER BLL will still have the same stats?

(I know the answer, but I like hearing myself talk)

BTW, even though it's not on the program list for a BLL, as anyone tried using it to attack a mob? It's hilarious. If you haven't done it, pull out your BLL, target a mob and say 'attack'. You'll enjoy the result.
