Droid Engineer Archive

I just don't get it. Droids are one of the most prominent pieces of the galaxy and creatur handlers have more prestige. Hmm. I just have one simple question. When are the devs going to actually sit down and change the droid engineer profession so it doesn't suck anymore. Educated Guesstimates are fine. One of the reasons why I bought this game was to build droids. Wow, am I disapointed or what.

Don't look for any major changes until around March 2004. They are barely in the design phase right now.

That may be a LITTLE bit pessimistic... we could get new chassis and bug fixes in a month or two.

I'd expect any major reshuffling to take a bit longer tho'.

With the track record we've had with the devs, take your most pessimistic guess and double it. We haven't had a single bug fix since launch, save the few things they've screwed up majorly, like when we couldn't craft droids for a weekend...

The changes will hit TC a day or so before my account de-activates on a perminate basis.

Expect nothing - it is the best way to not be disappointed in SOE and SWG. They can't even be bothered to keep any of the timetables or commitments they make, apparently.
