Something was seriously wrong with the random number generator last night, because I was having a huge number of critical failures and failed experimentation tries. I don't have the hard data of the number of failures/success, but it was far beyond statistical chance. I am a Master Droid Engineer and a Master Artisian, crafting in a Research Center city, using a +14 crafting tool, and a +14 personal WD&G crafting station on an R3 droid. I should rarely get a critical failure on construction and on experimentation.

I'm on the Kettemoor server. Is anyone else getting such terrible results?

They are running a test on this now but they say that the amount are in the windows expected.

I am seeing that they come in 'waves'. That might be the reason why people are getting thrown off on the amount changing.

I'd bet there's not more of them but they happen in ways, and in places, that makes you THINK there are more.

That's just my take on what I've seen...

Probability will NEVER tell you what the next roll of any dice will be. It can tell you what it MAY be, but never what it WILL be. There is still a possibility that you could get a critical failure for every single thing you build for the next 10 years of playing SWG. Very unlikely, but it is possible. So just put it down as a run of bad luck and move on, I say

On the other hand, though, there is a serious flaw in the experimentation process. Many times I experiment and get a failure, but still the numbers go up, not down. That is a bug that should be fixed, I think. (most evident in droid repair modules.. try building and experimenting on a few of those)
