Was experimenting and recording some of the values of Survey droids that I made. I thought I would share them here for everyone to take a look at/comment. (2 cents required)
QUALITY Survey Time
46 38min 51sec
6032min 33sec
7625min 32sec
8819min 45+sec
9118min 37sec
9218min 34sec
I'm sure there is a formula that could be derived from this, but my brain hurts, and its midnight, so I leave that up to you math go-getters out there.
I use a good lubricating oil................................................for the chemical requirement on these since most of the fiberplast/polymer UT/SR stats suck-a$$ on my server. I know that placing these values on my Survey droid titles has boosted my sales from non-existant to barely breathing.

I ran into good steel and deceided to experiment with the survey droid, it came out to 13 uses and took 45 mins, wasnt the best experiment but i will try to see if i can bring the time down.

Actually, I just did some analysis on this myself. I added your numbers into the number I had found and determined that the relationship is linear...thank God.
Anyway, here's the equation I came up with from the regression. It's not perfect (within +/- 18 seconds for the examples I've done), I'm sure due to rounding of the times, but it gets you mighty close.
Timeto return (in seconds)= -26.84 x Rating + 3565.14
If I can get some more results, I'lladd the points to the equation and see if we can get this puppy nailed down within a few seconds.

Now *THAT* is something I've been wanting as well...
Good job!
Now I can tell folks... You can either save time, or havemultiple uses... Not both in high enough numbers.

Exactly, I'm looking for any buyers that want a quick return on their survey droid times. So far, nothing, but many people have asked me about them, now that they see stats assoiciated with the droids. Many still balk at the idea of not getting any stats from the droids. I think if we could just get one random stat to come back each time the droid was used, well i guess its too late for that. oh-well

Hey folks, can you post the ratings and exact return times of as many survey droids as you can? The more sets of numbers we get, the more we can eliminate discrepancies due to rounding on the ratings and return times.

I could make some droids and give a looksee... *ponders*
*mutters about running out of steel*
I hate named resources...
(will give it a whirl later on tonight... both one experimented for efficiency and one for quantity)

D'oh! I've been using fiberplast and polymers... Didn't think of using oil... *pout*
Does it affect values much?
Okay, gotta dig through my resource vendor ... (Love using a vendor as a "bank", sorry to say)

From what I can tell, the lack of lubricating oil stats (UT/SR) are factored out of the equation. That just leaves the OQ. The oil i'm using is 989, and it allowed me to create 92 quality droids from my previous high of 91 (I used 975 OQ oil for those). So based on my experimentations, I would say HELL YEAH!

I just made some of these on saturday. Opted to experiment uses up first, figuring that'd be more useful. Ended up with 13uses/45 minute returns.

Ok, I got 2 more times this evening:
Quality=66 Time=29 min. 54 sec.
Quality=73Time=26 min. 51sec.
As luck would have it, I sold about three crates of my survey droids in a couple of hours. Probably helped that I also put crates of survey tools on there as well.

Ok, with those last two, I've now got 12 sets of numbers.
Rating Time (sec)
16 3158
30 2786
46 2331
60 1953
60 1959
66 1794
731611
761532
881185
90 1161
91 1117
92 1114
So from these, the equation so far is...
Time = -27.10x + 3587.85
