I realize that these need Composite Armor segments, but my question is this. Does it matter on the quality of those segments, and should it include the optional armor layers? Thanks

I have used both good and poor quality composite segs and it doesn't seem to effect the armor rating on the finished droid either way.

Quality does not matter what-so-ever in the segments
You can usually get an nAS to make them for you very cheap.

And, once again, keep in mind that two level 4 armor mods give the same resistance level as one level 6 mod. I
f you are making a droid with two slots save your composite armor segments by using level 4 mods.

I thought that was a limit for just the Probot. Has this changed or was my understanding incorrect.

SO your not getting more Armor for two level 6 armor mods?

Oh, the only thing you get from using two L6 armour plates, is a wasted plate.
Use either 2 L4 or 1 L6. Me, I typically use 1 L6 all the time. Until I run out of what I have left.

I always use level 6 modules as duralloy and link-steel are so common. It is also more economical to use level 6 modules as they take 143 resources instead of the 184 for two level 4s, or 164 fora level3 and a level 4. Having said that, there is the extra time in the factory to produce segments but I don't care about that anymore
Karlie.

I use level 3 armor segment.
because they are easy to do and more than enough.
1 level 3 = 12% resit, 2 level 3 and you're at 20%.

The droid armor is capped at 20% resistance (not 40% like is shown on the deed). This can be achieved with 2 level 4 mods or 1 level 6 mod.
I dont have ready access to an armorsmith so if i use composite armor segments i have to buy them. So whenever possible i use two level 4 mods.
Just my way of doing things.

Yea....this is the way I do this. I just dropped an order tonight for 400 more crated armor segments. for L6 droid armor.
