I've noticed that I've been failing a lot when trying to get a particular droid name to stick. I want to program my entertainer droid with the name J8675309, but it seems that if I use a number in the name, or any name, it won't learn the name. Is this by design, or just a weird bug?

The droid name uses the same filter as the player character name and therefore will not allow anything other than letters to be used.
This is one of the DEs issues to be fixed. Timeframe unknown.

Bah! A pox on them!
You'd think that they'd let us use letters in droid names. Maybe I'll just name it TommyTwoTone.

The most painfull part on this is that the free helper droid you have when you pick a basic profession has an auto-generated coherent number name.
And ours don't even have that.

Yeah, I'm getting to see a lot of the issues. Just made my Third Toon into a DE last night, to support my guild.
