Would one of you DEs please help me ...

I have been given a freebie "mouse droid" ... but haven't the faintest idea what to do with him.

Does he have any use other than to follow me around bleeping and squeaking?

Nope, you will find all droids in this game have no real other use than to follow you around beeping and squeeking...obviously I'm being somewhat facetious here, but...

If it has any storage you can put things in there. The concensus is that you can store contraband items (sliced stuff or spice, etc) in there and the imperial agents can't find it. There is also a general opinion that if you store an item in there and get killed, the droid and the item will clone with you, without decay. So, storage can save you money or hassle in two ways: First, no fines for contraband. Second, no insurance for droid-stored items.

If anyone can confirm this, please do so. I use these two items to sell my droids and would hate to find I'm misleading my customers.

Good job Demo. Nice way to kill your own sales. Anyway, yes they do have uses. And what's wrong with the chirping and beeping? That's what keeps me sane some days being stuck at my crafting stations filling orders.

O-Jen, on the contraband issue, that has yet to be proven or confirmed by SOE. That started on here as a "gee wouldn't it be nice if Droids could hide contraband form Imps?" wish and took off as being "DE's can build Droids with contraband storage". There is still no proof that Droids can actually hide contraband.

It has been proven that droid-stashed items SO FAR do not suffer decay. So at least that is right. I have yet to even be scanned, so I cannot verify if all my gear in the droids is safe from the scan. I like those little guys, the beeping is (in my opinion) cool and soothing.

It was free, what did you expect?

Seriously though, try crafting various things next to it to test if it has a crafting module. It wouldn't say so on the description. The radial should show if it has a storage module though, and check to see if it has a medical rating.

examine the droid. Does it have a med rating? a storage rating? click the radial menu and see if you have options for storage, also. Depending on the type of mse (basic or advanced), you may have a pet or a useful little droid

Yes, that's right. I'm a master DE and I believe MSE droids are among the cheap yet very potentially useful droids. If they're specialized, they great for the economically challenged
