I can remember when I first received authorization to play beta. It was a happy time in my life. I would rush home from work and try to log in and usually succeeded. After the game went gold, I looked forward to becoming a Master Droid Engineer, and hopefully some day, a Jedi Knight. Well, I made it to MDE but it was a hollow victory. Nothing I made was in demand. So I mined and sold resources, all the time upgrading my fleet of harvesters. Surely they would fix DE soon. But hope faded after months on end of broken promises and empty words.

I even purchased a second account to have the additional lots. "The Scrap Yard" was born and flourished for awhile, but soon it was becoming more of a chore to mine than it was fun. Unable to put large harvesters in most of the decent spots I surveyed was really starting to piss me off. The constant resource shifts.

So I decided to start playing my alt character to become a Master Tera Kasi. I started him as a brawler and advanced him to 4/0/0/0. The Christmas holos and another I purchased would lead me on the path to Jedi, once I’d obtained MTKA. But then came the "Change Jedi Path" news. So I opened my first holo in hopes of finishing a few of them before the path changed. Well, much to my dismay it said "Master Bounty Hunter". I reached novice bounty hunter 0/1/1/1 with still a little over a month to go, hopefully. I was going to really be able to grind all last weekend with 4 days off, but after only being able to complete 2 BH missionafter 3 hours of playing, I realized I would probably not make MBH before the change.

I’ve thrown in the towel on this game and am canceling both my accounts. I need to let my sons say goodbye to their friends first. I just wanted to say thanks to all those in game that have made my experience so enjoyable, and Shame on you SOE for letting this game get to the point where so many feel it is no longer worth $14.99 a month. Most issues could be satisfied with a little "Honest" communication.

Don't know you, but sorry to see you are leaving.

I will be joining you after my 1 year subscription runs out.

Ohh, and this game has never been worth $14.99 to play. I smack myself in the back of the head every day for leaving DAOC for this.

Can I have your stuff?

(had to be said) =) hahahaha....

Sorry to see ya leave man, but if you're not having fun anymore, I don't blame ya. Sure you don't wanna just drop one and keep one? You mentioned sons, it is awful selfish of you to deprive them of their Star Wars addiction. =)

Even my sons weren't playing much anymore. I was actually the "Power Player" of the accounts. I just wanted to give them the chance to say godbye in case they hadnt done so already. They havent logged on in so long, I had to remind them of what the passwords were

I actually thought about giving the cool stuff I have away, but that would be unfair to others in my community (i.e. giving my large harvesters away would hurt the very people I bought them from). So I decided to bank what I could and delete rest. If other MMORPGs dont pan out, I may check back in at a muchlater date.
