Okay guys, I've just finished experimenting with a few different things regarding the droid storage compartments. I thought I would sum it up in a new thread.
I made 3 General crafting stations. On all three stations, I used the EXACT SAME components for everything except the Droid Storage Compartments.
The materials I used were as follows:
Copper with Conductivity of 985
89% Micro Sensor Suites
96% Control Units
Droid Storage Compartment #1
I had a schematic that had been made PRIOR to the patch. The schematic was made using Iron with OQ999. The experimentation rating at the time was 99%. The limit was set at 1000. I DID NOT RUN THIS SCHEMATIC UNTIL AFTER THE PATCH.
End result: Craft station with 42.48092 FR.
Droid Storage Compartment #2
I had a NEW schematic made AFTER the patch, with the new experimentation pool. I used the exact same Iron, with OQ999. I had a Master DE make the schematic for me. The Experimentation only brought it up to 68%. I did a run of these storage compartments.
End result: Craft station with 39.345917 FR.
Droid Storage Compartment #3
I had a CRATE of Droid Storage Compartments that had been made in a factory BEFORE the patch. The rating was 99% on these. It was made with the exact same Iron with OQ999 as used in above two examples. The only difference here is that this crate was actually manufactured prior to the patch.
End result: Craft station with 42.48092 FR.
Conclusion
ANY SCHEMATICS FOR THE DROID STORAGE COMPARTMENTS THAT WERE MADE PRIOR TO THE PATCH ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THE PATCH. ONLY NEW SCHEMATICS MADE AFTER THE PATCH ARE AFFECTED. YOU CAN MAKE CRATES OF THESE USING YOUR OLD PRE-PATCH SCHEMATIC AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT BEING "NERFED".
I hope this clears up some confusion on this issue. I know it did for me.

Good show. 
You might want to forward this to the Architect forum; they're more likely to have DSC schematics than us DEs are... at least before we had customization kits to make with them.

Oh, good- I was afraid they might be nerfed. I built a bunch before the patch since I didn't have MDE yet and couldn't make the really good ones after the patch.

Uhh... did they change the experimentation stats on these modules? (was quality now quality and something else) because you should be able to get a 99% with the resource you used otherwise.
the lower value for the crafting station is caused by the lower quality of the storage modules.

Since you were obviously abducted by aliens and only just now returned to earth 
, yes the schematic for Droid Storage Comparments has changed. They now use 50% Conductivity and 50% Overall Quality, whereas before they used 100%OQ.

Yep, they sure did. I know the lower quality on the storage mods caused the lower value on the craft station... reread my post, though. I was only experimenting whether or not the schematics made pre-patch were nerfed with the patch.

Look it up. I'm not using the "Tolkien" definition of orc. It's a rather obtuse reference for Star Wars, but it still fits.
