I don't believe it is possible, but then again I've never tried it. The schematic calls for a Composite Armor Segment, not for an Advanced Composit Armor Segment, so I seriously doubt that the latter will fit.


Then again, prior to patch 6 I would have said the same thing about module clusters fitting in general module slots had I not known of the bug.

A guy on Stratics said he uses Advanced Composite Armour Segments in his level 6 Armor Modules and gets better armor ratings. Is this possible? If so, can I use an advanced version of any component, and will that actually give me any benefit?

To my knowledge, a L6 armor segment is a L6 armor segment, despite the quality of resources (or armor segments) used. It'll get you medium armor at 40%.
