Thread: My observation regarding droid sales with the release of publish 7

This is really surprising me. I haven't had time to craft any of the new combat droids for my combat vendor. Crafting them takes too long because I didn't have crates of droid brains stocked. the factory is crunching the droid brains now so that will be rectified soon. I've sold about a dozen combat droids for special orders for people who searched me out and asked in person. But that, and setting up the factory to run droid brains, is all I've had time to do so far.

But I am having a huge influx of new customers coming into my shop at all hours. They aren't finding the new combat droids, but they are buying stuff anyway. They've completely cleaned out my entire stock of utility droids and droid chassis in 48 hours. All I have left is arakyds, batteries, and BLLs. (I charge a LOT for my BLL's and refuse to lower my price on them, but that is another discussion).

I find it interesting that this invasion has caused customers to clean out my stock of old pre-patch merchandise.

I'm seeing a lot of that as well, but I also saw a good slow down in the week or two before the invasion. Did you have that as well?

I think I'm seeing a lot of customers who were holding off to see what was coming out. Now that it's out they are back to buying.

huh, business is steady for utility and BH droids as always - but i get laughed at for my Combat R3's - no one is buying combat droids - esp. once they find out R3's are the best. Maybe it is a server by server thing? And yes with my MDE title up i get 30 - 40 tells per hour.

P.S. go you for not lowering your price on the totally useless BLL droids that no one wants anyway - the only people i ever see with them are MDE's anyway - wonder why SOE even put them in the game???

I WANT them to be rare even if they are useless.

There was a brief lull before the patch, but this week sales are surpassing their previous levels by far. I was making 100k to 150k a week before. In the past 4 days, I've sold 700k worth of droids.

People are asking for and buying the combat R3's. Though 5 combat modules with an item storage compartment is what people seem to be asking for with that one.

Yeah. I'm surprised at how well the new droids seem to be selling. The night of the patch I took out a new probot hunting klicknicks with some friends and found that it did quite well, but I thought I was going to have to 'sell' the droids to non-DEs who had be expecting droidekas and the like.

I don't get a sale every time people ask about them, but I get a lot.

i've also noticed a large client base from pure crafters.. sometimes its just not safe to take a non-combat alt to harvestor runs unprotected... from AS, WS and Arch i've made at least 600k and then tehres the other batch of f people who want an LE because it knows kung fu lol
