Thread: New to Droids, can use a little advice.
RUN!
Just kidding...
You will go through more Master Artisan parts than anything else - so crank out those EMM's and EGP's, especially if you want to make R2's, R3's, Protocols, and Surgicals, which need 4 EMMs and 4 EGPs from identical factory crates in each and every advanced droid brain. You will also use a fair amount of control units in all droids, and microsensor suites if you want to make Probots.
Then, again, it depends on what you want to make. Most droids require a Droid Sensor Package, so keeping those on hand is good; some droids use manipulator arms and some use manipulator arm package sets (which are more difficult to make).
Best idea, after running the Master Artisan parts, is to figure out what kinds of droids you want to make, and just look at the parts required - see which ones are in common with the chassis you want to make.

Master DE before making ANYTHING
Then only factory items for 'runs' of droids, like 50 Surgical droids with surgical units and chem units and Level 6 storage. Otherwise you end up with crates and crates of GP's or mem modules that you can't use 'cos you don't have enough for a decent run. In short build all your 'components' towards a pre-determined end. For individual orders, build by hand and just charge 20% extra for the trouble.
