Thread: R3 vs. Probot
You seem a little confused....the probot can have 5 modules, while the R3 can have 6. The R3 will NOT have combat built in, but the Probot will. If you fought together a 5 auto-repair Probot vs a 5 auto-repair, 1 combat module R3, I'd imagine the R3 would win.

I made a probot a while ago, auto repair 100...
Just made a total R3 droid auto repair 120...runs away like hell (thought I read here that probot and r3 don't need combat module). lol took me 3 hours to find all the components to buy and make it...worthless...I'm dueling a friend who thinks he can beat it in 2 minutes (rofl he wants to bet 5mill on it too)...
But anyway, would the R3 with 5 healing be a better tank than the Probot with 6? I'm dropping tonight (or plan to) so I don't really want to have to hassle with it all again...
Thanks
a Probot with all 5 selfhealing modules will only do 1 point of damage per shot. An R3 with 5 selfhealing and one combat module (it requires at least 1 combat to make it fight) will outdamage the probot, and will have both ranged and melee attacks. The HAM of the R3 can be greater than that of the probot. Being armor is capped , armor shouldnt be an issue in deciding either.
So my final analysis would say that both would heal the same, but R3 would out damage and outlast probot. This isonly a guess and not based on testing.
I did a test a few days ago with 2 of these droids dueling.
All combat mods were rated at 98
Probot total mod 490
R3 total mod 588
The probot won the battle, and had lower HAM, but it was close..
When I have to call a droid and its a tossup between an R3 and Probot, I go with the R3 everytime. 1st, you can either send it in to battle, or use it's ranged attack to pull. 2nd, and most importantly, it has 30% more HAM. This extra HAM gives you extra time to hea/repair your pet before it falls incapped.
Probots are great droids, and have their uses. But in unknown situations, I will go with the R3 over the probot everytime.
If you want a Droid to kill, call a Probot (5 combat modules.)
If you want a Droid to Tank, call an R3 (1 combat, 5 auto repair.)
If you want a Droid to just slowreally nasty stuff down, that will squish him like a bug, call an LE (1 combat, 2 uato repair.)
If your curious which would win in Droid duels, here are my results. All droids were Maxed HAM, Maxed Combat, and Maxed Armor.
Probotdefeated LE
R3 defeated Probot
R3defeated LE
Overall winner was the R3.
The LE fights weren't even close, he got trounced.
The R3 and Probot fight was pretty close, but the fact that the R3 healed 100 every 10 Seconds plus it's extra 1300 HAM overcame the fact that the Probot does twice as much damage. The fight was close enough that if the Probot had gotten lucky and kept hitting one pool more often, it may have won.
