Heya folks just made Master DE(and not as a Holo either Darnit!)

So far its been pretty fun, slightly overwhelmed by my need for named resources(first serious crafting experiance)

Anyhow question is for Armor modules that require composite armor segments.. does the resistance on the segment matter? I have an Armorsmith friend that can make them, but she wants to know if she should bother using good resources etc..

Thanks!

Good question - personally I've used most level 4 droid armour modules - I've only used the ones that take adv.comp segs on rare occasions. To be honest, I've not seen a huge difference in using lvl 6 mods as opposed to lvl 4 mods, but if your armoursmith friend can make them for free (i.e. if you're supplying the resources) then go for it.

I have reead on this board that two Level 4 Armor mods give the same resists as one level 6. It may be easier for you to just make the Levels 4s.

This is the problems that we DEs run into with the various bugs. We dont really know how one armor mod compares to another.

Also the max droid resistance is 20% the 40% that shows on the droid when you examine is also a bug.

It has been reported numerous times by the regular Master DE's here that the quality of the composite segment has absolutely no effect on the final armour module, and therefore your friend should use the worst resources she has on the composite segments she crafts for you.

Also, you need to keep in mind...

That with the Resist being incorrect, there is also no more Armour Rating (Med/Light) for the droid when using armour plates.

Most of the droid sites are incorrect about this as well, as are some customers still who are not aware of the changes.

Only place you need to use a lvl 6 Armor is on the LE Repair if you make it a combat/tanking droid. Probots and R3's, your main combat models, each have 2 armor slots that you can use a pair of 4's in.
