As long as a combat module is supplied, can ANY driod model fight and do decent DMG? Also, cann all driods fight melee and ranged?

Combat modules stack, so the more sockets a droid has typically the better it is at combat. The exception to this is the Adv Probot. While it only has 5 sockets it does more damage and has a faster attack speed than an Adv R3 that has 6 slots.

Not all droids can do ranged and HtH. Probots only do Ranges and LE Repair, only do HtH. The only one I know for sure that can do both is the Adv R3 (Adv R3's LE Repair's and the probots are the only ones I make into combat droids)

Hi,

I bought an "Advanced Probot combat droid. He has about 3100 hit points but never hits anything with his weapon for over 1 damage. Yes, I said 1 damage. **edit**??

Not exactly what I was looking for. How the hell can I tell what I am getting from the deed window? Doesn't seem to be enough info there. (It also repairs itself.)

Thats a 'Tank' bot you have...

Created to allow you to fire away at a mob while he tanks for you. The autorepair and low damage allows him to tank longer and NOT steal your combat EXP.

You've gotta love tank bots...definitely helps with the XP.

Thats a nice droid you have there, especially if the auto-repair rating is around 80 or more. Even the best combat droid only does enough damage to not really help much but steal lots of your xp. The one you have is far better and it can take head on combat longer than a straight combat probot.
