Droid Engineer Archive
Thread: A few stupid questions.
Brains: They are not interchangable. When a schematic calls for an Advanced Droid Brain, you use one. When it calls for a normal droid brain, you use one of those.
Experimentation: Well, the final build should always be experimented. Apart from that, combat modules need experimentation, and some of the new modules we just got as well, though I'm not sure which ones yet.
Ok thx, yea I had just figured out the Brain issue, I was foolish and figured if it asked for a Droid brain, an advanced would obviously be better.
Thx for the experiementation tip, so jsut to be sure, I don't need to really worry about reosurce quality and such for the lower level componants?
Also, with the Armor modules, does the quality of your composite segment matter?
As you can tell today is my first day actually puttin Droids together, I have been spending most of my time building sub componants and getting resources, I didn't want to make a bunch of things then have them be useless after this publish.
Thx again.
For armor a lvl 3 + lvl 4 work as a lvl 6...saves you even more costs =) And I thought it was 40% resists? Or did they change it again? I can't keep up anymore.
A number of folks have run a number of tests which have led to some "conclusions" about the value of experimentation and resource quality in the construction of Droid Subcomponents.
To date.. there has been exactly one developer statement, about one module series(the crafting station modules) supporting the player-made conclusions that experimentation and resource quality are meaningless for a large number of items that we build.
In light of the lack of supporting statements from SOE SWG developers, I recommend that statements recommending against use of premium resources and recommendations against experimentation be taken "with a grain of salt".
There is little or no "proof", with the one notable exception above , that experimentation and resource quality have no effect of items that we craft.
Experiment on everything that you intend to sell
Use premium resources on everything that you intend to sell.
It is the only way to be sure.
ssssssssssSSS(:-<
Well for me it's not that simple I guess. For example, I have 100k "good" copper. If I use that on everything, it will be gone quickly, who knows when something else "good" will spawn. So what I was trying to figure out was if I could use lower quality resources on some of the other things.
I have only been playing swg for about 2-3 months. Our guild needed a DE about 2 weeks ago, it was thenI started getting resources, so I don't have large amounts of resources. I need to spend what I have wisely.
