I just made master a few days ago and have been messing around with a few different items before i start producing droids. I did read the guides, but did not see the answeres i was looking for. Please help me on these issues or point me to a link. I may have missed it along the way.
For the components to build droids:
Does the experimentation count on items such as droid brains, droids sensor package, manipulator arm package sets, etc....?
I played around and didnt notice much difference, though using medium grade resources and only hittinf 75-83% i have not used high grade resources till i get the hang of things.
I know it counts for harvester modules, droid storage, armor modules, medical modules etc........ But do i need to max exp on all components?
Any help would be grateful.
SO far ive made 5 droids- made probot with 3500 HAM and 162-178 attack 40% resist on my first try, harvester droid with 90 harvester rating and 3100 HAM, and just played around with the rest. These arent bad but i was happy to make my first droid
.
Ive been wanting to DE for some time, but heard they had issues. Ive mastered all artisan professions except chef and think ill stick with DE so help is needed.
Thanks

An older and wiser MDE than I am once replied to a similar question:
"At the moment experimenting on some of the subcomponents makes no difference in the final product. That, however, could change at any time, even between official publishes, with one of their infamous "stealth publishes."
"So I experiment on everything as well as using the highest grade resources I can find, buy, beg or borrow (haven't stolen any yet), just in case. "
But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong!

I agree with Kniol, just use the best of what you have for everything you make, it's the only way to be sure. Although lately I've not been using my best for the chassis. For everything else I just use my best stuff though.
