I try and keep 100k of everything we need on hand, except the stuff for level 6 data mods.

The majority of Droid Engineer's products require 50% conductivity and 50% overall quality in the experimentation (as well as general quality), so keep note of that with most of your resources.
From my experience, I tend to use lots of Copper, Steel, Aluminum, Fiberplast, Inert Petrochemical (chemicals), Extrusive Ore, Low Grade Ore (carbonate), Siliclastic Ore (a type of low grade ore), and Inert Gas. Generally, your droids will require either 'mineral', 'metal', or a specific like 'steel'. That's why you should carry the three I listed. Copper tends to have higher conductivity than any other metal, and you can usually find it with high overall quality as well, so it's excellent to use in the general mineral slots.
Those, I believe, will be the mainstay of your droids, but as usual you're going to need named, rare resources, like Vertex Gemstone, Link-Steel Aluminum, Carbonite Steel, Durlumin Alunium, Durasteel steel, Ditanium Steel, and so forth. Keep an eye out.
